Jersey’s Famous Offspring
Did you know that some of the most famous music artists of today once called New Jersey home? Here are a few of the Garden State’s famous residents who can say they once set their home alarm system, walked their dogs and shopped for groceries in Jersey:
John Bon Jovi: One of Jersey’s more famous musicians, Bon Jovi brought the rock and roll to Jersey back in the 1970s and 80s. John likes it in Jersey so much he still resides there with his family!
Bruce Springsteen: Growing up in Hoboken has really colored the personality of The Boss, so much so that he writes about the state in his music each chance he gets. Springsteen still spends his days and nights here in Jersey.
Frank Sinatra: Also a Hoboken resident, The Old Blue Eyes crooned his way through the hearts of New Jersey housewives for years. The famed Rat Pack member lived in Jersey for most of his life and many of his family members still do today.
Redman and Naughty by Nature: Not to be left out, two of rap’s greatest artists were born right here in the Garden State! Hip hop still plays a big presence in Jersey, namely because of its proximity to New York.
